Cookie Policy
Last updated: 23 June 2026
This page explains the cookies and similar storage 3DPTD Deals (3dp.sale) uses, what each one does, and how long it stays on your device. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we do with data.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. We use a handful of them to make the site work (remembering your region, for example) and — only if you agree — Google Analytics, so we can see which deals and pages people find useful. We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not sell or share what we collect.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
region | Remembers your selected region (US/EU) so prices and links match where you are | Strictly necessary — functional | 1 year |
td_track | Pre-fills your email when you sign up for a tracked-deal alert, so you don't retype it | Strictly necessary — functional | 30 days |
cc_cookie | Records your cookie choices so we don't ask again, and so we can show you agreed | Strictly necessary — consent record | 1 year |
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) | Tells visits apart and remembers session state so we can measure aggregate traffic | Analytics — only set if you accept | Up to 2 years |
| geni.us (affiliate links) | None on 3dp.sale. Our affiliate links carry tracking in the URL only and set no cookie on our domain | n/a | — |
| Merchant cookies (Amazon, AWIN, Prusa, IMPACT…) | Set on the retailer's own site after you click through. Covered by that retailer's privacy and cookie policy, not ours | n/a (third-party) | Set by the merchant |
Cookie categories
- Strictly necessary — needed for the site to function: your region toggle, the email pre-fill for deal alerts, and the cookie that records your consent choice itself. These are always on and don't require your permission.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4. Set only if you accept analytics cookies. Helps us see which deals get clicked and which pages get traffic. No advertising and no profiling.
- Marketing — not in use today. The consent banner shows a Marketing option, but it is reserved for possible future advertising tools (for example a Meta or Google Ads conversion pixel) and is currently linked to no cookies at all. If we ever turn advertising on, we will update this policy and ask you again first.
Google Analytics & Consent Mode v2
We use Google Analytics 4 with Google Consent Mode v2. How it behaves depends on where you are:
- In the EEA / UK — analytics is switched off by default. Nothing is stored until you choose Accept all (or enable Analytics under Customize) in the cookie banner. Reject is exactly as easy as Accept.
- Outside the EEA — analytics is on by default, and you can opt out at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the page footer.
When analytics is declined, no _ga or _ga_* cookies are set.
Google still receives anonymous, cookieless pings so we can see rough traffic totals, but
it cannot identify you or follow you across sessions or pages. IP addresses are anonymised.
We keep Google Signals turned off, so there is no cross-device tracking, no advertising personalisation, and no demographic profiling. We run no advertising cookies of any kind today.
Managing your choices
You can change your decision at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the page footer — it reopens the banner so you can accept or reject analytics. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings; blocking the strictly-necessary ones may stop parts of the site working as expected.
